Position Summary:

We’re looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Revenue Assurance Billing Specialist to join the billing operations team in our company.  The Revenue Assurance Billing Specialist’s responsibilities include coordinating with other departments to ensure database integrity as well as resolving revenue assurance issues. To be successful as a Revenue Assurance Billing Specialist, you should be able to work independently and efficiently with a keen eye for detail while meeting tight deadlines.

Revenue Assurance Billing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily work order audits to ensure compliance with company goals and processes.
  • Completes regular financial analysis identifying revenue leakage and executes recurring revenue controls.
  • Act as an initial point of understanding for unexpected variance in revenue and will communicate issues with a key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and address any impacts to revenue assurance/leakage resulting from system/process changes.
  • Work across the organization to identify and address the root cause(s) for lost revenue or control deficiencies.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy by renewing and confirming that billing data conforms to specifications prescribed by the contract or established business rules.
  • Ensure commissions paid are in line with established contracts and chargebacks are assessed when payments haven’t been received.
  • Develop new strategies to improve accuracy and timeliness of revenue impacting issues within the organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in resolving financial and revenue related issues.
  • Assist in monthly account reconciliation with multiple vendors.
  • Assist in standardization of packages, promotions, policies, and procedures across entire company.
  • Preparing monthly revenue impacting reports and meeting billing department deadlines.
  • Help maintain database integrity.
  • Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Complete departmental related projects as needed.
  • Complete all additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience, and empathy.
  • Utilize strong, effective and positive interpersonal and communication skills with temperament to effectively communicate verbally and in writing directly with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Organization, time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of querying large, complex data sets to generate reports while using strong visualization.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce and billing platforms, such as GLDS Broadhub (or CSG/ICOMS)
  • History of working within cable or telecommunications industry
